Accommodations: All guest accommodations have a private balcony, and the resort’s location on Needham’s Point penninsula allows for view of the water from every room and suite. Native Bajan art decorates the walls, and amenities include air-conditioning, TV, telephones, voicemail, high-speed internet, mini-bar, coffee maker, in-room safe, hairdryer, bath amenities, and iron/ironing board. Guests in the Executive Rooms enjoy their own check-in/check-out area, as well as access to an exlcusive lounge. Suites are more spacious, feature upgraded amenities, furnishings, and whirlpool tubs. TIP: Children under 18 years of age stay for free (in room with parents).
Dining & Entertainment: There are several dining options available onsite. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Lighthouse Terrace has seating available indoors, and on an outdoor dining terrace overlooking the pool. Careenage Bar & Grille is a gourmet restaurant that serves choice steaks, fresh seafood (including the house specialty “Spiny Tail Lobster”), and a variety of salads. Drinks and casual meals are served at the Water’s Edge Beach Bar. TIP: Children under the age of 5 eat for free. Children 5-12 years receive breakfast free, and 50% off all other meals (in selected restaurants). For excitement after the sun goes down, the nearby district of St. Lawrence Gap is one of the best nightlife spots on the island. Try the aptly-named After Dark, which has an outdoor dance floor.
Recreation: The resort’s impressive pool complex is surrounded by a large sundeck, but those looking to spend some time absorbing the tropical sunshine will surely want to head to the pair of white-sand beaches the resort lays claim to; umbrellas offer shade. There are tennis courts, a fitness center. Non-motorized water sports are complimentary. A PADI-certified dive center is onsite. Spa treatments are available. Barbados Golf and Country Club, an official destination of the European PGA Tour, is nearby. For children, there are organized activities at the Kidz Club. TIP: Parents receive 1 free 4-hour babysitting service per 3-night stay.
